Michaela Hippey (Allotment Officer)
Monkston Park wardI am a dedicated and long-standing resident of Monkston Park, having lived here since 2005 when our home was first built. I bring a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to our community. My journey with the Parish Council began several years ago, though I had to step back temporarily due to the demands of work and family life. Now, I am excited to return and contribute once again to the betterment of our parish. In my professional life, my husband and I own and run a local accountancy practice, which I have successfully managed for the past 16 years. This role has allowed me to stay closely connected with many local businesses and residents, fostering a strong sense of community. Beyond my professional commitments, I am passionate about volunteering. I serve as a community first responder for the local ambulance service, providing critical support in emergencies. Additionally, I volunteer with Guide Dogs as a breeding dog holder, where my family and I have the joy of raising future guide dogs. My past involvement in local community centres and playgroups has been a rewarding experience, and I am eager to extend my love for the outdoors through my work on the Parish Council. I am particularly interested in enhancing our outdoor spaces, improving local services, and fostering a sense of togetherness within our community. My family and I have two children who are now teenagers/young adults, and we cherish our time together in Monkston Park. In my spare time, I enjoy swimming and walking my dogs, activities that keep me grounded and connected to the beautiful surroundings of our parish. I look forward to working with you all to make Monkston Park an even better place to live. Email: Michaela.hippey@kentshillmonkston-pc.org.uk
