Your Parish Council

Kents Hill and Monkston Parish Council, representing the first tier of local government, serves the residential areas of Kents Hill, Monkston, Monkston Park and the industrial and shopping areas of Brinklow and Kingston. The council, together with the Clerk, provides, manages and deals with local services and issues of concern to/from residents. The Parish Councillors are elected by residents to represent them in specific geographical areas.

Details of Councillors can be found on our website under Your Councillors and on our parish noticeboards. They meet on a monthly basis with the exception of August. However, sometimes extra meetings are convened for special reasons.

We have 11 Councillor positions representing our ward as follows:
5 for Monkston and Kingston
4 for Kents Hill and Brinklow
2 for Monkston Park.

Become a Councillor in our Parish

However, we now have vacancies for 5  Councillors. The time for calling an election has now expired so the Parish Council is now intending to co-opt councillors.  Vacancies can arise at any time, so if you are interested in becoming a Parish Councillor, please get in touch with the Clerk for more information.
