Notice of Casual Vacancies – Monkston & Kingston Ward

There are two unfilled vacancies for the Monkston & Kingston ward of Kents Hill & Monkston Parish Council which have not been filled by election, so the parish council will appoint members by co-option.

Applications must be received by 21st October 2019.

To be eligible for co-option as a Kents Hill & Monkston Parish Councillor you must be:
• A British subject, or a citizen of the Commonwealth or the European Union.
• Age 18 years or over.
• Not be disbarred from standing as a councillor.
And able to meet at least one of the following:
• Registered as a local government elector for the parish.
• During the whole of the twelve months preceding the date of co-option, occupied as owner or tenant, land or other premises in the parish.
• Principal or only place of work during those twelve months has been in the parish.
• During the whole of twelve months resided in the parish or within three miles of it.
