Your moblie phone can actually be a life saver or an emergency tool for survival.

Check out the things listed below that you can do............ and what to do if your phone is stoles or lost

1. The emergency number worldwide for a mobile is 112.
If you find yourself out of the coverage area of your mobile network and there is an emergency,
dial 112 and the mobile will search any existing networks to establish the emergency number for you. Interestingly, the number 112 can be dialled even if the keypad is locked. Check it out!

2. Have you ever locked your keys in your car? Does your car have infra red remote locking?
If you lock your keys in your car and the spare is at home, call someone at home on their mobile from your mobile. Hold your phone about a foot from the car door and have the person at your home press the unlock button on the spare key near to their phone. Your car should unlock. This saves someone having to turn out with your spare key!

3. Hidden battery power
Imagine your mobile battery is very low, you are expecting an important call and you don't have a charger! NOKIA phones come with a reserve battery. To activate, simply press *3370#.
Your mobile will restart with this reserve power and will show a 50% increase in battery. This reserve will get charged next time you charge the mobile.

4. How to disable a PHONE WHICH IS STOLEN from you!
To check your phone's serial number, key in the following digits *#06#
A 15 digit code will appear on the screen. This number is unique to your handset.
Write it down and keep it safe.
If your phone is lost or stolen, you can phone your service provider and give them the code.
They will be able to block the use of the handset and make it totally useless.
If everyone did this, there would be no point in stealing phones.

5. STOLEN PHONES, immobilise them so they can't be used, either phone your network service provider or 08701 123 123 or click here to visit the immobilise web site. Nearly 750,000 phones are stolen each year!!!!
